news and comment site

A new blog-based website is available at www.gemmoworld.com.  Gemmoworld acts as a newsfeed for developments in gemmotherapy, as they happen. News articles on a broad variety of subjects of interest are complemented by a Twitter feed for breaking news items.

Subjects covered so far include Roger Halfon's new book, a seminar on gemmotherapy held in Tokyo, and the first ever appearance of gemmotherapy on television.

The Gemmoworld site is mobile-friendly and automatically loads as a text-only, self-formatting page when accessed from a smartphone (though without the tweets - so if you want these to come to your mobile device you'll need to subscribe to the Gemmoworld feed at Twitter).

Gemmoworld is seen as a day-to-day enhancement of the gemmotherapy.info site; any news items of lasting interest will be adapted for publication here.

Gemmotherapy is rapidly gaining in popularity around the world, either as an adjunct to other therapies, or as a form of treatment in its own right. As its use grows, it is necessary for members of the public and practitioners to have access to detailed and reliable information on the subject. This website aims to be a first resource on gemmotherapy.

Directory of Practitioners

In response to requests for information about where to find qualified practitioners of gemmotherapy, we have created a Directory of Practitioners. This will grow to become a complete listing of all practitioners who offer gemmotherapy as a clinical modality, with contact details and information about their training and practice.

If you are a practitioner of gemmotherapy, you can get a listing in the directory free of charge. Simply log in to the site, fill in your details and upload a picture or logo. Once approved, your entry will be visible to anyone looking for a gemmotherapy practitioner.

If you want to find out more about gemmotherapy, you'll need something to read. Here are all the books currently available in English on this subject. Hopefully this short guide will help you find your way around.

Tetau book The first English book on gemmotherapy was by Max Tetau MD, Gemmotherapy: A Clinical Guide. It’s over twenty years old now and so a little behind on more recent developments. But it's still a sound introduction and contains a lot of useful information on the main remedies. Tetau was one of the ‘founding fathers’ of gemmotherapy, and this is the translation of a book he wrote in French. You can get it from Minimum Price Books, cost $65. Tetau's other work has not yet been translated into English.
